    A Safe Haven For People

    Tower Sanctuary Housing Association (TSHA) is a Community interest company that provides temporary designated supportive living for homeless or vulnerable adults. Located in the city centre of Derby. Providing accommodation and offering support to the self-managing individuals. The accommodation we provide is temporary housing support for individuals in need of emergency accommodation. Each accommodation features a fully furnished room, self -contained shower and toilet, shared kitchens and communal areas for residents. Our accommodation has 24 hour CCTV surveillance. Staff members are on hand onsite or by telephone contact to provide support.

    We aim to help homeless people have access to decent accommodation and reduce homelessness and alleviate inequality.

    Vision & Values

    We understand that it is a process and journey for our tenants to be able to live independently, hence to make this possible, we adopted a Homeless Outcome Star Model that focuses on the development and transformation of the person in total.

    Length of Stay

    Depending on the needs of the individual and on a case to case basis, tenants are on transitions to integration in community and living independently. Our support workers are trained to support each tenant along their journey of regaining independence.

    Referral Approach

    At TSHA we work collaboratively with local and national authorities such as probation, prisons and other agencies who make referrals to us. All referrals are assessed using the systems approach and other available approaches that enables us to help the individual attain their possible best and independence. All referrals are expected to attend assessment sessions with two forms of photo identification. Suitable referrals can be offered accommodation after assessments or added on a waiting list if we do not have available accommodation. We also refer to other providers and accept referrals from other housing providers provided our criteria is met. We do not accept self-referrals and sex offenders.
